Napa Valley, Atlas Peak
Garnet in a glass, exhibiting classic varietal characteristics with dark stone fruit, dried tobacco leaves and a bright herbal bouquet. Medium-bodied, with savory aromatics and pleasant acid; a very balanced food-friendly wine. Hints of all-spice on the mid-palate along with nicely integrated tannins, make for a long finish.
Vineyard: Napa Valley; hearty mountain fruit, above the fog on steep south-facing slopes of Atlas Peak; twenty year-old vines, Antinori clone.
Harvest & Ageing: Handpicked & sorted, fermented in stainless steel, 21 days on the skins, gentle bladder press, slow native malolactic through spring. 22 months in neutral French oak.
