Napa Valley, Carneros
Not your typical Napa Valley white wine... somewhere between those unctuous Chardonnays and acid-driven Sauvignon Blancs, this classic Italian varietal shines through from a place it was meant to: a stone's throw from the Bay on cool-climate rolling hills of Carneros. Aromatics of rose water, passionfruit, and a hint of orange blossom. Paired with grilled shrimp or pan-roasted chicken, its bright-but-balanced acidity carries the length of the palate, complementing with flavors of mandarin orange and fuji apple.
Vineyard: Carneros; on south-facing slopes near the Sonoma border.
Harvest & Ageing: Picked at early ripeness to preserve natural acidity. 19 months in neutral French oak.
